Major faux pas: Topman has yanked two offensive t-shirts from its shelves.

Talk about poor taste.

The retailer Topman has yanked two shirts from its shelves, one that implies women are dogs and another that offers excuses for domestic violence.

"Nice new girlfriend," one shirt reads. "What breed is she?"

The other offers a checklist of excuses as to why the wearer is "so sorry." "You provoked me. I was drunk. I was having a bad day. I hate you. I didn't mean it. I couldn't help it," the shirt reads.

An appalled shopper sent a complaint to the UK-based company and received this mea culpa from the brand's customer service, according to Jezebel. "Please accept my assurances that these images were in no way meant to make light of any sort of violence and were instead meant to be light hearted without carrying any serious meaning," the apology read.

Last month, the department store JCPenney got in trouble after bloggers noticed a girls' a long-sleeved shirt with the words "I'm Too Pretty To Do Homework, So My Brother Has to Do it For Me" emblazoned on the front. The company also issued a swift apology and withdrew the shirt.
