Polish motorists have demanded the scrapping of a road sign in Gdansk, because it carries 12 different instructions to drivers.
17 February 2011
The sign - giving a bridge's maximum load weight as 12 tons - has brought traffic to a halt on the entrance to an industrial estate as Polish truckers struggle to make sense of it.

There are 12 different instructions to drivers on the sign outside Gdansk, Poland
"One sign says farm vehicles can go through no matter how much they weigh, another gives a local firm the right to put any vehicle across it. It's a mess and nobody really knows who can go through and who is banned," said local driver Karol Marcinski.
